Havana, November 2 (RHC)-- In an action characterizing Cuban democracy, district councilors throughout Cuba started on Sunday their reports to their voters in a process that will run until December 30th. The 'report back' to constituents is aimed at achieving close exchange between the people and those elected councilors or district delegates in April.

The Secretary of the Cuban Parliament, Miriam Brito, explained that this process will allow the people to know the work of their delegates during their current term office.

This action takes place at neighborhood meetings presided over by the district delegates and under the supervision of observers. These meetings encourage open dialog through which the citizens participate actively and issue proposals related to their concerns.
