Damascus, November 13 (RHC)-- Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid al-Moallen met in Damascus with Cuba's new ambassador to the Arab country, Rogerio Santana.
During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat thanked Syrian authorities for their hospitality and reiterated Cuba's support for Syria's sovereignty and against any foreign interference in the country's internal affairs.
The Syrian foreign minister highlighted the historical friendship ties between the Syrian and Cuban governments and peoples. The two sides agreed to boost bilateral cooperation relations in sectors like health, education and trade.
