Riyadh, November 16 (RHC)-- Representatives of Cuba and Saudi Arabia expressed their interest in consolidating bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
Saudi Health Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falij and Cuban ambassador Enrique Enríquez, reviewed the current state of bilateral ties in the area.
The two sides agreed to review the possibility of implementing a joint comprehensive health care program to benefit people with diabetic foot ulcers in the Arab country, where more than three million people suffer from diabetes.
During the exchange, Minister Al-Falij praised Cuba's achievements in the field of health care and ratified his country's interest in further strengthening cooperation links in the scientific and bio-pharmaceutical sectors.
