Panama's MultiBank Expresses Interest in Doing Business with Cuba

Panama City, November 18 (RHC)-- Panama's bank Multibank could open branches here in Cuba, aimed at attracting foreign investment to the Caribbean state.

In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, Multibank Executive President Isaac Btesh expressed his company's interest in supporting both Cuban financial institutions and foreign investors and pointed to what he called Cuba's great development potential in the sector.

Multibank, is the only Panamanian financial institution that maintains business links with Cuba, handling trade transactions between Cuban entities and companies headquartered in Panama, particularly in the Colón Free Trade Zone.
