Havana, November 21 (RHC)-- The Commander of the Bolivian Armed Forces, Army General Omar Jaime Salinas, was welcomed on Saturday by the first deputy minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces and Chief of Staff, Army General Alvaro Lopez Miera.
The Bolivian military officer laid a wreath at the mausoleum raised to honor Cuban independence hero Antonio Mace and his aid Francisco Gomez Toro, in the outskirts of Havana, Granma newspaper reported.
“This delegation would like to thank the Cuban government for such warm welcome and we want to send our greetings to the people of Cuba,” said the Bolivian general. The Bolivian visitors also toured the headquarters of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
The high-ranking military officer winds up his visit to Cuba tomorrow, Sunday, after visiting places of historic, economic interest and military units.
