Guantánamo, November 24 (RHC)-- The 4th International Seminar for Peace and the Elimination of Military Bases is holding sessions in the eastern Cuban province of Guantánamo with the participation of more than 200 delegates from 46 countries.
Issues under discussion include nuclear disarmament, the lifting of Washington's over 50 year-long blockade policy towards Cuba, Washington's hegemonism, foreign military bases and the threat they pose to the populations and territories where they are set up.
During Monday's opening session, Cuban Vice President José Ramón Balaguer termed as disgraceful the jail Washington runs at the US Naval Base of Guantánamo on the illegally occupied portion of Cuban territory.
