Brazilian and Uruguayan Foreign Ministers Pay Official Visit to Cuba

Havana, November 25 (RHC)-- The foreign ministers of Brazil, Mauro Viera, and Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, are visiting Cuba on Wednesday to consider opportunities to further expand economic collaboration relations with the island.

Brazil's Mauro Viera will meet with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca on issues related to bilateral collaboration and the setting up of the Brazil-Cuba Chamber of Commerce, according to sources with the Presidency of Brazil.

During his visit to Havana, the Brazilian foreign minister will also address with Cuban authorities the expansion of an Economic Cooperation Accord signed between the South Common Market and Cuba, and other regional and international issues.

Meanwhile, the Uruguayan foreign minister will meet with the press at the Cuban Book Institute following the selection of his country as Guest of Honor to the Havana 2016 International Book Fair.
