Guatemala City, January 16 (RHC)-- In Guatemala, visiting Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa met with Cuban health and education professionals who are offering their services there as part of cooperation programs with the Central American country.
Valdés Mesa headed Cuba's delegation to Friday's inauguration of Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales.
At Friday's meeting with the Cuban cooperation workers, Valdés Mesa referred to his talks the day before with President Morales. He said that they “took place in a fraternal, friendly atmosphere and President Morales expressed his appreciation and gratitude for our country's cooperation with Guatemala."
Vice President Valdés Mesa expressed Cuba's determination to maintain and strengthen each and every existing cooperation program between the two countries, as well as Havana's willingness to expand cooperation to other areas of mutual interest.
