San Salvador, January 18 (RHC)-- Various committees of solidarity with Cuba in El Salvador have agreed to hold demonstrations and other protest actions on the 17th of each month, for as long the the U.S. blockade and other anti-Cuba legislation remains in place.
At a national solidarity with Cuba meeting held over the weekend, the Salvadorian activists said they have chosen the 17th because on December 17th, 2014, Washington and Havana announced their intention to re-establish diplomatic ties.
“However,” they said, “the blockade policy remains intact and its financial aspects has even been further tightened.”
