Port of Spain, March 1 (RHC)-- Dennis Moses, Foreign Affairs Minister of Trinidad and Tobago is urging his country's companies to look for new business opportunities in Cuba.

Speaking at a Cuban National Day Event at the Cuban Embassy in Bayshore on Tuesday, Moses noted that in November Trinidad & Tobago's Trade Facilitation Office in Havana facilitated a successful trade mission, which coincided with the Havana Trade Fair.

“It is our hope that our Trinidad & Tobago companies will follow in the footsteps of Sacha Cosmetics and Angostura Holdings Limited among others and seek exciting business opportunities in Cuba,” he said.

Foreign Affairs Minister Moses noted that the partnership between Trinidad & Tobago and Cuba goes back to 1972, when diplomatic relations were formally established. He added that ever since, the two Caribbean states have engaged in mutually beneficial cooperation in such sectors like trade, culture, tourism, education, sports and health.
