Geneva, March 2 (RHC)-- In Geneva, Cuba has defended the inalienable right of all human beings to live their lives in peace, in a world without nuclear weapons.
Speaking at the high-level segment of the UN Disarmament Conference, Pedro Núñez, Director for Multilateral Affairs and International Law at the Cuban Foreign Ministry, said that multilateral approaches and negotiated political solutions, in full compliance with the UN Charter, are essential towards achieving arms control and disarmament.
The Cuban diplomat called for the establishment of an International Convention on the Prohibition and Elimination of all Nuclear Weapons in a set time frame.
