Geneva, March 8 (RHC)-- Malcolm Johnson, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), has acknowledged Cuba's international prestige in terms of the skills and knowledge related to information and communications technologies.
During a meeting with Anayansi Rodríguez, Cuba's representative in Geneva, Johnson confirmed his participation in the 16th International Fair and Convention on Computer Science and Technology, set to begin on March 14th.
The Cuban diplomat said the Caribbean state is committed to the goals and principles set by the UN specialized agency for information and communication technologies. She briefed the ITU official on ongoing efforts towards the digitalization of Cuban society.
