Mexico City, June 22 (RHC)-- The Cuba Friendship Group of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico was created Tuesday, presided over by Deputy Maricela Contreras.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Mexican legislators, representatives of the country's civil society, friends of Cuba and the country's ambassador there Dagoberto Rodríguez.
Deputy Maricela Contreras said the creation of the friendship organization is part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen solidarity and cooperation ties between the two countries based on the ideas of regional unity and integration promoted by Latin American independence heroes like Venezuelan Simón Bolivar and Cuba's José Martí.
