Gauteng, June 25 (RHC)-- Health Minister in the South African province of Gauteng, Quedani Mahlangu, said that the arrival there of a new Cuban health brigade, made up of 23 professionals, is further evidence of the excellent state of bilateral friendship and cooperation relations between Cuba and South Africa.
The Cuban health professionals will contribute their expertise and experience to efforts by local health authorities in the South African province to strengthen primary health care attention.
Minister Quedani Mahlangu recalled that health cooperation between South Africa and Cuba began on the joint initiative of the first non-white head of state in South African history, the late Nelson Mandela and Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
