There are deep concerns in certain political sectors of the United States for the reaction of President Donald Trump, who tries in every way to disqualify the elections next November, now that polls indicate that he could lose against his rival, Joe Biden.

At a recent event in the city of Phoenix, Arizona, Trump said that this year, U.S. will host the most corrupt presidential elections in the history of that country, without presenting any evidence to endorse his opinion.

However, it’s not the first time that he’s made such statements, which directly confronts one of the main pillars of what is considered "democracy" in the United States of America.

Analysts from both the Democratic and Republican parties estimate that Trump might be paving the way to hold on to power by any means necessary.

The declaration of a State of Emergency in cities where the president is most at risk of losing, with the possible deployment of the National Guard troops to prevent voters from going to the polls, is one of the scenarios drawn to achieve victory.

The COVID-19 pandemic that so far has been ignored by the Trump Administration could also be the excuse for implementing such actions.

And it's been suggested that The Donald could unilaterally postpone or cancel the elections altogether.  Or go ahead with the elections and simply not recognize defeat and refuse the transition of power.

Those are not mere suspicions.  The journalist Reid Epstein, who has worked at conservative media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, Newsday and now it works for The New York Times, recently expressed his opinion about how everything has been set.

He assured that "the informative meetings on electoral security, which in previous years had been provided to presidential candidates by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, would now be the responsibility of the Director of National Intelligence."  This position is held by John
Ratcliffe, a close friend of Trump.

However, Robert Bauer, Joe Biden's advisor, declared: “We assume that (Donald Trump) can resort to any kind of trick, strategy or plan to maintain the presidency.  We have created a solid program to consider all possibilities and ensure he won’t be successful."

The elections are just 4 months away, and the pressure increases every day for Trump, which means that anything could happen in that country.  And due to its position in the world, the results, whether we like them or not, will affect the entire planet.
