Cuban fine art exhibition in Shanghai shortly

More than one hundred Cuban artists from various generations, aesthetic and creative tendencies are set to exhibit their work in China soon.

The second floor of Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center -SUPEC, a cultural institution in the People’s Square in Shanghai, will open its doors to contemporary Cuban art in four days.

The exhibit, considered the largest sample of Cuban fine arts ever held in Asia, is made up of Cuban visual art pieces from the second half of the 20th century up to now.
Rodando se encuentran… includes some 150 works from different artistic trends, such as figurative art and abstraction, and art forms, such as painting, engraving, photography, sculpture, installation and video art, belonging to a Cuban National Fine Art Council collection.

The exhibition is aimed at presenting a comprehensive vision of the multiplicity of artists chosen among the different generations and tendencies that have been practiced in Cuba over the past five decades.
