Havana, January 7 (RHC)-- The popular Cuban performer Cimafunk will host the Getting Funky in Havana, a cultural exchange with musicians from New Orleans and the Island, which will take place as part of the activities of the 35th edition of the 2020 Plaza International Jazz Festival.
The festival, which will take place in Havana 14-18 this month, includes this project that is sponsored by Cuba Educational Travel and the Trombone Shorty Foundation and is also supported by the Gia Maione Prima Foundation and the group Horns To Havana.
Cimafunk and its band will host the Getting Funky event, which together with the American groups The Soul Rebels and Tank and The Bangas, will give concerts at the Cuban Art Factory and the National Theater, among other venues.
Performances of Getting Funky in Havana will also include other musical talents from Cuba who will attend the 35th Havana International Jazz Festival 2020, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Music Institute.
