Havana, May 26 (RHC)-- Producciones Abdala, one of the best consolidated, most successful Cuban record companies celebrated its 23rd anniversary this May 25th, with a broad program of activities on digital platforms and social media due to the epidemiological situation generated by Covid-19.
On the occasion, the record company released a music video for the tune ‘Bienaventuranzas Número 2’. The tune for flute and piano is included in a new musical production of Cuban composer and pianist José María Vitier to be released later this year under the title Bienaventuranzas.
‘Bienaventuranzas Número 2’, premiered this past Tuesday on Cuban television and on the official website of Producciones Abdala and its platforms on social networks, is a tribute to Cuban scientists and health professionals, who are right now fighting the pandemic anywhere in the world. It is a special tribute also to all those involved directly or indirectly in the development of any of the FIVE Cuban vaccine candidates against Covid-19.
The tune and the accompanying music video features renowned Cuban flutists Niurka González and José Lázaro Álvarez and young pianist Malba Rodríguez González.
Mabel Muñiz Ocaña, general manager of Producciones Abdala, recalled that Producciones Abdala, attached to the Cuban Ministry of Culture, was inaugurated in 1998 at the initiative of Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez.
