Pascual Cabrejas and Tumbao Habana
Havana, August 6 (RHC)-- Pascual Cabrejas and his band Tumbao Habana give the final touches to a new album entitled ‘Tumbao Habana, Segunda Temporada’ at Havana’s Abdala record studios.
The band announced on social networks that this latest musical production includes collaboration of several musicians and ensembles, exponents of Cuban popular music, among them David Calzado and Charanga Habanera.
In statements to Cuban press, Cabrejas said that David Calzado and his Charanga Habanera perform the track “La Soltera.”
The leader of Tumbao Habana took the opportunity to thank David Calzado, leader of Charanga Habanera. Pascual Cabrejas said Charanga Habanera popularized several of his own compositions, particularly in the 1990s.
‘Tumbao Habana, Segunda Temporada’ includes little known tunes, as well as new, contemporary versions of iconic pieces.
The album will be released later this year, as part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of Tumbao Habana, to be celebrated in 2022.
