Lima, August 8 (RHC) – Cuban Ismael Borrero defeated on Wednesday Venezuelan Shalom Villegas in the Greco-Roman Wrestling 67kg Gold medal bout by technical superiority, in the Lima 2019 Pan-Am Games.
Borrero, Olympic Champion in Rio 2016 and World Champion in Las Vegas 2015, dominated 23-year old Villegas in the Miguel Grau Coliseum in the Peruvian Capital.
Bronze medals were awarded to Mexican Manuel Lopez and American Ellis Coleman, who defeated Peruvian Nilton Soto and Dominican Luis de Leon, respectively.
