Havana, August 15 (PL) - Cuba will present five of its best divers at the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg 2023, reports the digital site Jit.

According to this media, linked to the Cuban Institute of Sports, the representatives of the largest of the Antilles will be Anisley García, multi medalist in the XXIV Central Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, Prisis Leidy Ruiz, Carlos Daniel Ramos, Carlos Escalona and José Alfredo Quintana.

In the note, the national commissioner of the discipline, Milagros González, is quoted as saying that "it will be a good opportunity to add up some practice as preparation for the next Pan American Games".

The International University Sports Festival of Yekaterinburg 2023 is scheduled from the 19th to the 31st of this month, and diving will take place in the Palace of Aquatic Sports of that Russian city.

In total, Jit emphasizes, the Festival will have actions in 13 sports and disciplines, and will bring together university figures from Asia, Latin America and Africa. Among the confirmed nations are Vietnam, Venezuela, Tanzania, Uganda and Ecuador.
