Havana October 25 (PL) -- Uruguay won the gold medal today and Cuba the silver medal in the men's short sculls double sculls at the XIX Pan American Games Santiago 2023.
In the competition, held in the Laguna Grande de San Pedro de La Paz, the pair of Newton Seawright and Martin Aguirre won with a time of 6:22.07, closely followed by the Cuban duo of Reidy Cardona and Carlos Ajete, with 6:23.69.
The bronze went to Mark Couwenhoven and Casey Fuller, from the United States, with 6:26.70.
