Havana, February 24 (ACN)-- The four semi-finalist teams of the Cuban Little League baseball tournament are getting ready to seek this weekend their pass to the discussion of the season's champions trophy.
Peloteritos from Bayamo, Sancti Spíritus, Santa Clara and Pinar del Río will once again arouse emotions when they take to the field with one goal in mind: to represent Cuba in the 77th edition of the World Series which, like every summer, takes place in the American city of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The reigning monarchs from Bayamon, holders of the province of Granma, are waiting in the grounds of the Manuel Alarcón baseball stadium for the espirituanos to define the eastern champion, in a duel that will be won by the first to triumph twice in the three agreed games (two on Saturday and one on Sunday).
To get this far, the defending champions swept the teams from Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba, while the Yayabo team did the same with Morón (Ciego de Ávila) and Camagüey.
In the west, the battle will be at the Capitan San Luis stadium in Pinar del Río, where the hosts will face Santa Clara, holders of the 2022 version.
