Havana, October 15 (RHC)-- The 37th edition of Havana’s International Trade Fair (FIHAV 2019) will be held November 4th through the 8th at its usual venue –the EXPOCUBA exhibition ground. This year’s event is dedicated to Havana on its 500th anniversary.
In statements to the press, Cuban Minister for the Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca, noted that FIHAV is fully consolidated as the most important multi-sector trade and investment fair in Cuba and one of the top events of its kind in the entire Latin American and Caribbean region.
He said that official delegations from more than 50 nations and over 2000 foreign exhibitors have confirmed their participation, including US exhibitors, who have expressed their opposition to the Cuba policy of the Trump Administration and instead advocate normal US-Cuba ties.
The program of Cuba’s main trade event includes an investment forum, the launching of Cuba’s new portfolio of foreign investment opportunities and a special presentation of the country’s main export items.
The Central Pavilion at FIHAV 2019 will feature the services and products of a total of 152 Cuban exhibitors, representing all provinces.
Cuba’s Mariel Special Development Zone will also feature prominently at FIHAV 2019, with the more than 30 companies established at the enclave seizing the opportunity to promote their products and services.
