La Paz, October 5 (RHC)-- Despite the "No" vote in the Colombian plebiscite on Sunday, Bolivia’s President Evo Morales said he is confident peace in Colombia will be achieved.  The Bolivian president said that the best way to consolidate a peace agreement is through dialogue, adding that peace cannot be guaranteed without social justice.

The Bolivian leader said: "Peace is on the way, it must be consolidated, it’s a lot of commitment, effort, sacrifice and perseverance and we cannot leave the people of Colombia on their own."

Speaking at a news conference in La Paz, the Bolivian capital, Evo Morales called on Colombians to reach peace with “sovereignty, with identity and dignity.”

On Sunday, Colombians voted in a plebiscite over the peace agreement between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC-EP, which took four years to negotiate and was rejected by a narrow margin of half a percentage point amid a low voter turnout of under 40 percent.
