Mexico City, October 14 (RHC)-- Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto spoke on the phone with his Cuban counterpart Raúl Castro, whom he thanked for the Caribbean state's support and assistance in the wake of the September 19 earthquake.
Peña Nieto noted that Cuba sent a health brigade, made up of 41 doctors and a field hospital to assist quake victims in the Mexican state of Oaxaca.
During the phone conversation, President Raúl Castro also thanked Mexico for sending a brigade from the country's Federal Electricity Commission to contribute to recovery efforts in the wake of the damage to the sector caused by Hurricane Irma in early September.
