Caracas, April 13 (RHC) Former Venezuelan vice-president and journalist Jose Vicente Rangel said that the lack of transparency marks the statements of the Venezuelan opposition, which could endanger the current peace dialog.
In his Sunday TV show, Rangel said that the first meeting between the government and the so-called Democratic Unity Table opposition group opens a window to optimism, but that he sees no separation line between those opposition groups that act in good face and others that bet to violent actions like the 2002 coup.
Ultra-right circles used violence against institutions and people amidst the silence of opposition democrats, said Rangel and added that contradictions begin to arise within the opposition. Add to this, he said, the case of former deputy Maria Corina Machado and rightist leader Leopoldo Lopez who both insist in keeping violent actions on the streets and attack the government.
