Washington, November 11 (RHC)-- In the U.S., the online news outlet Quartz reports the Department of Homeland Security plans to have biometric data on hundreds of millions of people by the year 2022.
In a recent presentation, which was reviewed by Quartz, DHS said it expects to have a database containing the fingerprints, as well as the face and iris scans, of nearly 260 million people traveling in and out of the United States -- raising major privacy concerns over the agency’s growing surveillance efforts.
