Washington, August 13 (RHC)-- The United States reported nearly 1,500 new coronavirus deaths on Wednesday, the highest one-day total of the month and one of the deadliest days of the U.S. epidemic since May.
Kentucky reported more than 1,000 new infections, a single-day record.
In Kansas, the Hutchinson state prison has gone into lockdown after 84 prisoners and 10 staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.
