Caracas, March 4 (RHC)-- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela has rejected what it describes as "accusations" by its neighboring Guyana in relation to the bilateral dispute over the Essequiba region.

The position of Caracas came through a statement issued by the Venezuela, made public by Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, in which he shows his "energetic rejection" of Guyana's statements, which are considered "inaccurate and false" -- with the purpose of "feeding a negative matrix against Venezuela."

Guyana's statement accused Venezuela of having violated "its" airspace when "two Venezuelan Sukhoi SU 30 fighter jets, flew over the community of Eteringbang and the airstrip at a very low altitude," the note described. 

According to the Venezuelan statement: "once again, in an outlandish manner, the Government of Guyana intends to generate false versions about the regular patrolling operations of Venezuela's borders, carried out by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, strictly circumscribed to the non-controversial Venezuelan territory."

Guyana's statement intends "to pretend an alleged act of aggression against sister Guyana", which, Caracas insists, "is disconcerting" since it is an "unfounded accusation, based on videos posted on social networks, without offering precise and geolocated location of the area in question."
