Caracas, March 10 (RHC)-- Venezuelans commemorated the Bolivarian Anti-Imperialism Day on March 9th, declared five years ago by President Nicolás Maduro, with the aim of honoring the patriotic position of the people against the interference actions of the United States.

The Venezuelan leader stated in a message published on his Twitter social network account that "the U.S. seems destined by providence to plague the Americas with misery in the name of freedom."

"On the Bolivarian Anti-Imperialism Day I ratify to the people: let no one be deceived and let no one lower their guard.  Venezuela is not a threat, we are hope!" said the Venezuelan president.

Venezuela commemorates from 2016 the Bolivarian Anti-Imperialism Day, due to the fact that on March 9, 2015, then U.S. President Barack Obama declared the South American country as an unusual and extraordinary threat.

As a result of that declaration, Washington has decreed dozens of unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela, which have caused severe damage to the population, experts in the defense of human rights have denounced.
