La Paz, October 25 (RHC)-- A delegation of the victims of the massacres of Sacaba and Senkata, which occurred during the de facto government in 2019, presented this Saturday in the Casa Grande del Pueblo a list of petitions in which they demand justice for the victims.

As the caravan was about to arrive in the capital city, the leader of the victims of Sacaba, Roberto Jucumari, asked for justice "for my brothers who have fallen in Huayllani, Sacaba.   It hurts me.  How long are we going to ask for justice?"

He explained that the march left three days ago from the municipality of Caracollo, department of Oruro and at the moment they are already in the town of Calamarca after having walked more than 52 kilometers.

For her part, the president of the Senkata victims, Marisol Rodríguez, stated that the march demands justice for all the victims of the massacres of 2019, in the de facto period of Jeanine Áñez.  

The list of demands presents 22 demands to the Government, and it essentially raises justice for the thirty or so dead during the military-police repression of Sacaba, on November 15, 2019, and Senkata, on the 19th, which includes trials against Áñez and her minister.

The directory of the Victims of the Sacaba and Senkata Massacres, in addition to human rights activists, repudiates the National Committee for the Defense of Democracy (Conade), Amparo Carvajal, Creemos, CC and the hierarchy of the Catholic Church "for the cover-up of the authors of the signing of DS 4078".

Under the aforementioned decree, the then de facto government of Áñez ordered the repression of the demonstrations in both parts of the country, which supported the ousted president Evo Morales.

The Vice Minister of Justice and Fundamental Rights, César Siles, explained that they are working on the drafting of an accusatory proposal for torture that will be presented in the next few days to the Legislative Assembly against the former authorities of the government of Jeanine Áñez.

At the same time, he confirmed that a law is being prepared with the Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies that will allow full reparations to all persons who suffered violations of their rights.
