Caracas, October 30 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan government and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) are advocating for strengthening tourism in member countries, according to a Foreign Ministry press release issued in Caracas.

The Deputy Minister for Multilateral Issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Darío Molina, and the Executive Secretary of the regional entity, Sacha Llorenti, evaluated the possibility of strengthening the so-called smokeless industry, as part of the post-pandemic recovery strategy, according to the text.

In the Casa Amarilla (headquarters of the Foreign Ministry), in Caracas, both authorities talked about the fulfillment of the agenda for this year, evaluated the issue of tourism and the possibility of promoting the multi-destination tourist destinations of the allied nations.

Recently, on October 25, ALBA-TCP held a meeting entitled "Impact of Unilateral Coercive Measures on the implementation of the Paris Agreement and on the Right to Sustainable Development" -- in which the role of this platform in the negotiations on climate change was analyzed.

In addition, the impact of Washington's imperialist sanctions on the fulfillment of the objectives aimed at the preservation of the planet was also discussed, according to the press release.

During his first participation in a meeting of the regional bloc on August 30, Venezuela's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Félix Plasencia, raised the need to strengthen the tourism potential of the Alliance countries, while ratifying his country's commitment to strengthening cultural identity in the region.
