Washington, December 5 (RHC)-- A new report reveals the CIA has had credible evidence that at least ten of if staff members or contractors were involved in child abuse crimes over the past 14 years, with only one of them being ever charged.

According to the documents secretly gathered by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 2004 to 2019, and obtained by BuzzFeed News, nine staffers were never prosecuted.

One of the 10 CIA staffers, the news outlet said, had “inappropriate sexual activity with an unidentified two-year-old girl” and admitted to having sexual contact with a six-year-old on “two separate occasions," according to the files.  The employee was fired from the agency but never charged the data shows.

One unnamed former official told BuzzFeed that the CIA resists prosecution of its staff for fear the cases will reveal state secrets.  The agency did not comment on the report, but claimed that it “takes all allegations of possible criminal misconduct committed by personnel seriously.”

It is not the first time that sexual crimes involving children have been uncovered at the CIA or other agencies that handle sensitive information.  Back in 2015, Vice News obtained documents that showed the CIA had knowledge of child abuse and child pornography crimes allegedly committed by its staff.

In November 2009, a report said the Department of Defense acknowledged that dozens of Pentagon staff members or contractors committed sexual crimes involving children.
