La Paz, May 5 (RHC)-- The Foreign Ministers of Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta and Brazil, Mauro Vieira met on Thursday to outline a timetable to deepen and relaunch bilateral relations.  "We worked, hand in hand, with Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and the Brazilian delegation to advance in a roadmap that allows strengthening, relaunching and deepening our bilateral relations," Mayta expressed on his Twitter account.

The foreign ministers decided to reactivate the mechanisms of dialogue, committees and joint working commissions in the different spheres of integration.   Among the areas where relations between Bolivia and Brazil should begin to develop are energy, water resources, the fight against smuggling, border security and national defense.

Mayta highlighted that opportunities have been studied to increase the exchange in the gas, biofuels and fertilizers sectors, within the framework of several bilateral agreements in force.  Similarly, one of the points of exchange was to deepen regional integration using existing mechanisms such as the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR) as platforms.
