Clarence Thomas

Washington, Aug 11 (RHC) U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas took dozens of trips paid for by at least four multimillionaire friends, a new report by the website ProPublica disclosed Thursday.

The text adds to other allegations of corruption of the magistrate and detailed how Thomas' sponsors paid the bills for at least 38 vacation destinations, 26 flights on private planes and eight others in helicopters.

In addition to travel costs, the billionaires paid for 12 preferred deal passes to sporting events, two stays at resorts in Florida and Jamaica and a "standing invitation to a super-exclusive golf club" on the Atlantic coast, according to the report.

ProPublica previously publicized Thomas' relationship with Harlan Crow, who gave the judge vacations, flights and even paid for his mother's house in Georgia.

The report also noted that The New York Times recently detailed his relationship with two multimillionaire members of the Horatio Alger Association.

Numerous reports in the U.S. media have also warned about the unethical conduct of other judges on the highest court in the country.

One of the scandals involved Justice Neil Gorsuch who, according to Politico, has business ties to Brian Duffy, head of a powerful law firm called Greenberg Traurig, which repeatedly brings charges before the Court.

Samuel Alito also came under scrutiny after a ProPublica report revealed a previously unreported, expensive fishing trip 15 years ago with a prominent conservative donor, whom the judge later favored in a ruling.

According to the investigation, the Supreme Court justice flew on billionaire Paul Singer's private jet in 2008 on a trip that included lodging and meals at the expensive King Salmon Lodge in Alaska. The report denounced that the tycoon had connections with corporate entities that later filed cases before the Supreme Court and won with the judge's support. (Source: PL)
