Houston, June 26 (RHC)-- In the U.S. state of Texas, a woman has been charged with attempted murder for trying to drown a 3-year-old Palestinian-American girl at a swimming pool at an apartment complex.
The Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is now calling for hate crime charges against the woman, Elizabeth Wolf, who reportedly attacked the child after telling the girl’s mother that she wasn’t really American.
In a statement, the girl’s mother said: “We are American citizens, originally from Palestine, and I don’t know where to go to feel safe with my kids. My country is facing a war, and we are facing that hate here.”
