Caracas, August 4 (RHC)-- Hundreds of thousands marched through the streets of Caracas and other cities of Venezuela on Saturday to support Nicolas Maduro and the revolutionary process.

As the throngs of people moved through the main avenues of the Venezuelan capital, President Nicolas Maduro addressed the rally.

Maduro said that "faced with this [right-wing and fascist] conspiracy and coup d'état in progress, on Wednesday, I filed a constitutional appeal before the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ so that this chamber can review everything."

The Venezuelan leader noted that the country's Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) summoned all the candidates, leaving one chair noticeably empty [ with the name "Edmundo Gonzalez" pinned to the seat ].  And that indicated to us that all those who were electoral candidates must provide all the documents and minutes that are in the hands of each political party."
