Caracas, August 5 (RHC)-- The vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, affirmed that the extreme right never had an electoral plan and that its purpose was always to supplant the National Electoral Council (CNE) and impose its candidate through violence.

During a special broadcast of the program “Con el Mazo Dando,” he recalled that claiming fraud has been a tradition in that political movement, accustomed to objecting to the results when it knows it cannot win an election by way of votes.

He affirmed that the plan of Chavismo and the Gran Polo Patriótico was to win the elections. “The plan was fulfilled.  We defeated them by way of elections and also in the streets,” stressed the PSUV leader.

He pointed out that during a previous broadcast of the program, statements were shown in which they affirmed that on July 29 they would take Miraflores, which foresaw what their real intention was.

Diosdado Cabello stated that the Venezuelan State has undertaken actions to consolidate peace. He emphasized that on that date in the South American nation there were acts of terrorism, incitement to hatred, tacit threats to popular leaders of the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), the communal councils and the PSUV, to prevent a response from the mobilized people to an attempted coup.

The Venezuelan leader brought up that representatives of the extreme right came to say openly that it was necessary to eliminate what they called "the plague of Chavismo."  Their leaders did so, including Edmundo González, known for his history of crimes in El Salvador, he said.

They want to govern the people, but no one governs this people.  Chavez taught the people to decide.  He said that the immediate action of the Venezuelan intelligence and security agencies, as well as the Public Ministry and the courts, allowed these events not to progress and that in 48 hours the country returned to calm and stability.

He questioned the fact that many of the guarimberos did not vote and, once arrested, acknowledged that they were not registered in the electoral register, which contradicts the supposed interest they had in the electoral result.

Diosdado condemned the fact that the international media wants to present them as peaceful protesters. He denounced that they burned 12 universities in the country, seven schools for early education, 21 primary schools and 34 high schools.  They also burned 250 police modules, numerous health centers, six CLAP food storage centers, a community radio station, 11 subway stations, 27 monuments and ten PSUV headquarters, among other facilities.

The Venezuelan leader asserted that the extreme right has not presented evidence of fraud and that, instead, the Gran Polo Patriótico (GPP) reported numerous irregularities in the alleged records that it made public.  He said that the head of the GPP campaign command, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, revealed that they published them on a website that they acquired in the United Kingdom and formalized a day before the elections, in addition to denouncing that the supposed minutes would correspond to only 31 percent of all the minutes of scrutiny, and that they have visible irregularities such as adulterations, not being signed by witnesses, errors in the number of voters in the constituencies, including deceased persons and other serious ones.

He said that the extreme right called for new protests this Saturday, but who took to the streets was the people, who remembered that Flag Day was proclaimed by Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.

Diosdado Cabello assured that a group of Latin American leaders who today criticize Venezuela have not been consistent, because they betrayed the people who elected them and handed their countries over to the extreme right.

He rejected the interference of the United States in Venezuelan affairs and the attempt to supplant the Electoral Power.  We decided to be free, he stressed.  Here the legacy of Chavez is in good hands, because it is kept alive by the united people.

Finally, Diosdado Cabello considered that the diplomatic personnel of other countries stationed in Caracas must contribute to the improvement of bilateral relations and must adhere to Venezuelan laws.  Those foreign diplomats who do not respect our laws will be expelled from Venezuela.
