United Nations, October 31 (RHC)-- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says at least seven “mass casualty incidents” have occurred as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip over the past week, including four in the north of the besieged Palestinian territory.

The OCHA made the announcement in a detailed report on Tuesday regarding the latest humanitarian situation in Gaza and the Israeli onslaught on northern Gaza in the past three weeks.

Between October 22 and 29, "at least seven mass casualty incidents were reported across Gaza, including four in North Gaza governorate,” the report said, adding that between 150 to 200 people were reportedly killed or injured on October 24 when a residential block of eleven houses was hit in the Jabalia refugee camp.

The OCHA report cited the Gaza Media Office and the Palestinian Ministry of Health as saying that the Ash Shuhada school in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in Deir al Balah, was hit and a fire reportedly broke out on the same day, which left 17 Palestinians dead, including nine children, and over 52 others injured

“On 25 October, 25 people were reportedly killed when two houses were hit in Beit Lahya Project area (Mashrou’ Beit Lahya).  On 24 and 25 October, MoH reported that a total of 38 Palestinians were killed and tens of others, mostly children and women, were injured when several residential buildings were destroyed during a military operation in Qizan An Najjar and Al Manara areas in Khan Yunis, while about 20 people were missing,” the report said.

At least 30 people were reportedly killed and dozens injured on October 26 "when a residential block was hit near the eastern junction in Beit Lahya, while some remained under the rubble due to the suspension of PCD services in North Gaza," it added.

On October 27, "eleven Palestinians, including one girl and four women, were reportedly killed when Asma UNRWA school designated as IDP shelter in Ash Shati’ (Beach) refugee camp in Gaza city was hit,” it further said.

The OCHA said 93 Palestinians were killed or went missing under the rubble on October 29 following an Israeli strike on a residential building in Beit Lahya.

The report also pointed to some additional deadly incidents between October 21st and the 27th.

On October 21, at about 12:35, "nine Palestinian family members were reportedly killed when a house was hit in Az Zarqa area, northeast of Gaza city" while a day later, at about 09:20, "eight Palestinians, including at least five males, were reportedly killed and others injured when a group of Palestinians was hit in Az Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza city,” the OCHA said.

“On 23 October, at about 16:30, six Palestinians were reportedly killed when a house hosting IDPs was hit in Jabalya Al Balad, in North Gaza. On 27 October, at about 1:00, 10 Palestinians were reportedly killed and others injured when a house hosting IDPs was hit in Beit Lahya Project, in North Gaza.”

Israel waged a genocidal Gaza onslaught on October 7, 2023, after Hamas-led resistance groups carried out a historic operation against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

So far, the occupying regime has killed at least 43,061 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 101,223 others, in the besieged Gaza.   In its brutal aggression, Israel has deliberately targeted buildings and tents sheltering displaced Palestinians and committed war crimes.
