Caracas, November 5 (RHC)-- The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Monday on his program Con Maduro+ that the destiny and the future of the country will never depend on what is decided in the North, regarding the presidential elections in the United States taking place on Tuesday.

In this context, Nicolás Maduro said that “in the meantime, we will continue with our work, our destiny and our future; it will never depend on what is decided in the North,” while highlighting that, regardless of whether Donald Trump or Kamala Harris is elected, do not be carried away by the failed policies and extremism of the Venezuelan oligarchies.

“Some people think that by turning Venezuela into a colony, the country will prosper. And what about Puerto Rico?  Let me ask: can you mention a single country that has been intervened by the United States and that is better off?  Examples such as Afghanistan and Libya are clear.  Simply put, the destiny of our people, of the global south, depends on our hands, our work and our effort.   And we have what it takes to do it,” the president stressed.

“They were told that this was a piece of cake.  And the same usual suspects did that.  They made the U.S. rulers fail with foreign policy towards Venezuela,” the dignitary stressed.

He also urged to wait for the results.

Economy

Regarding the role of SENIAT, Maduro stressed that “it has managed to collect three times more than it received from January to October 2023. This is thanks to the growth of the real economy.”

Maduro insisted that “there is still a long way to go; we have to strengthen the system to avoid tax evasion. We have to move towards a strong policy in this regard,” while adding that “everything collected by SENIAT is aimed at improving health, education, the construction of housing and addressing social issues as an emergency.”

“Our mind is set on the growth of a productive economy integrated into the world, not oil-based and invulnerable to the criminal sanctions of the West, in any circumstance that we have to live from now on,” said the president.

Fascism

Venezuela is a territory free of fascism, and he stressed that it is reactivating. “The commandos are reactivating; they are trying to reactivate them with little success, to activate another violent plan like the 28th, 29th and 30th of July,” he said.

“A fascist counterrevolution has nested in Venezuela, led by the surnames; That is to say, the most rancid and racist oligarchy that has ever existed,” warned the head of State, while pointing out that “unfortunately, they have had the support of the United States. One day, history will be different.”

They are recruiting migrants and sending them to Venezuela with plans to exercise violence in the country, the dignitary reflected, while insisting that “nothing and no one will be able to prevent us from living in peace.”

He urged everyone to be alert and vigilant, while specifying that if peace is wanted, it must be defended in the territory. “We must prepare to defend and build peace,” stressed the president.

COP16

“At the recent United Nations Conference on Biodiversity 2024 (COP16), held in Colombia, we committed ourselves once again to the fight against wild capitalism and in favor of biodiversity,” he said.

Regarding the role of Colombia and President Gustavo Petro, the president said that “at this Summit, President Petro has maintained a deeply humane discourse in the face of the immense climate emergency that exists in the world.”
