Tel Aviv, November 7 (RHC)-- Recent documents have disclosed that hundreds of wounded militants fighting against the Syrian government have been receiving medical treatment in Israeli hospitals, Press TV reports.

According to the documents from Israeli hospitals, Israel’s army paid USD 10 million up until September this year for the costs of treatment to the foreign-sponsored militants injured during battles with Syrian government forces, and the money has come from the Israeli military's budget.

The papers further revealed that a total of 398 injured militants have been treated at Galil Hospital in Israel’s northern coastal city of Nahariya in the past couple of years. Another hospital in the city of Safed has provided treatment for hundreds of other militants.

Last October, Israeli political commentator Ehud Yaari said the Tel Aviv regime has provided medical treatment for over 1,400 wounded militants from Syria. Yaari added that some militant groups operating inside Syria maintain contact with the Israeli army, and have had secret meetings with Israeli military figures in the Israeli coastal city of Tiberias.

Damascus says Tel Aviv and its Western allies are aiding al-Qaeda-linked militant groups operating inside Syria. The Syrian army has repeatedly seized huge quantities of Israeli-made weapons and advanced military equipment from the foreign-backed mercenaries inside Syria.
