Ibero-American Prosecutors Discuss Cybercrime in Bolivia

La Paz, October 28 (PL-RHC)-- Prosecutors from several Ibero-American countries are in Bolivia to participate in the 23rd Ordinary General Assembly of the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors, which will have cybercrime as its central topic for discussion.

Bolivia's Attorney General, Ramiro Guerrero, reported delegations began arriving for the meeting, which will conclude on Thursday in the eastern city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

This time, in addition to cybercrimes, Ibero-American prosecutors will analyze human trafficking and smuggling, and drug trafficking, based on social networks and new technologies.

According to Guerrero, the purpose of the meeting is to exchange experiences and information in order to try to stop these of crimes, which, in his opinion 'in many cases have exceeded the borders'.

Bolivia's Attorney General said that after the conclusion of the assembly, on Friday, an international seminar aimed at professionals and students will take place with the participation of Ibero-American prosecutors who will share their experiences.

The meeting is being held at the Buganvillas Hotel, west of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
