United Nations, April 21 (RHC)-- Numerous voices are calling for new strategies against drug trafficking, relying on policies of cooperation, prevention, education and public health, during the UN General Assembly 30th Special Session on Drugs as a World Problem.

Heads of states and specialists are addressing the need to eliminate  illegal drug consumption, but without involving military force, which they say has been a proven failure.

This 30th session at the UN in New York concluded on Thursday.  Bolivian President Evo Morales addressed the participants this morning, pointing to the failure of U.S.-led policies.
