Havana, January 11 (RHC) Cuban President Raul Castro sent a personal invitation to Chilean president-elect Michelle Bachelet to participate at the upcoming summit in Havana of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
The letter of invitation was sent by the Cuban Foreign Ministry through the embassy in the capital Santiago, according to Chile’s La Tercera newspaper.
Bachelet, who will soon announce her cabinet, was officially proclaimed president-elect on Friday by the Electoral Court.
The Summit of Heads of State and Government of the regional bloc will take place January 28 and 29 in the Cuban capital.
