Havana, January 18 (RHC)-- Students and professors of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, California, are here in Cuba, touring educational, cultural and scientific institutions.
A member of the U.S. delegation, professor María Jesús Iglesia, told reporters that the exchange is part of the institute's planned academic activities, and commended Cuba's achievements in sectors like education, health and social security.
The visiting U.S. delegation has also toured schools, hospitals, farms, mixed enterprises and small private businesses in the provinces of Havana and Matanzas.
