Havana, April 24 (RHC)-- The Inter-religious Foundation for Community Organization IFCO/Pastors for Peace has renewed its commitment to spreading the truth about Cuba and the Cuban revolution among communities in the United States.
In statements to the Cuban press, Gail Walker, Executive Director of IFCO/Pastors for Peace, said the aim is to continue raising awareness on Washington's nearly six-decade old arbitrary blockade policy toward the Caribbean state.
Gail Walker is the daughter of the late U.S. Reverend Lucius Walker, who launched the Friendshipment Caravans to Cuba back in 1992, to bring aid to the Cuban people, collected during tours of several Canadian, U.S. and Mexican cities.
The IFCO/Pastors for Peace executive director said the 28th edition of the friendshipment caravans will arrive in Cuba next July, after touring over 50 cities in 30 U.S. states, where the caravanistas will also organize a series of Cuba-related activities.
