Vancouver, February 17 (RHC)-- The Vancouver Committee for the release of the Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in the United States since 1998 will soon mark the one hundred months they have been undertaking solidarity actions of the Cuban heroes as part of the international campaign demanding their freedom.
Committee coordinator Tamara Hansen told Prensa Latina news agency that on March 5th, they will hold their one hundredth demonstration in front of the U.S. Consulate in Vancouver, British Columbia -- demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González.
Since 2005, the committee members have carried out solidarity actions on the fifth of each month in support of the Cuban heroes. The program for the upcoming demonstration includes music concerts, vigils and talks with journalist Stephen Kimber, author of the book “What Lies Across the Water: The True Story of the Cuban Five.”
