Cuba attends trade and investment convention in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain, July 6 (RHC)-- A Cuban trade delegation headed by the deputy chair of the country's Chamber of Commerce, Rubén Ramos, is participating in the 2018 Trade and Investment Convention (TIC), taking place July 4th through the 8th. In Trinidad and Tobago.

The Cuban delegation is made of representatives from 19 entities, among them some 30 top executives. It covers sectors such as the food and beverage industry, biotechnology, the sugar industry, construction, health, tourism, culture, science and technology and  telecommunications. 

The Cuban mission is participating with a stand at the Convention.

Cuba seeks to strengthen the economic and commercial ties with Trinidad and Tobago –Cuba's top trade partner in the Caribbean region. 

In the framework of the trade event, the Cuban representatives are holding meetings with government authorities and private companies in Trinidad and Tobago to explore new trade opportunities.

The Cuban delegation, in collaboration with ExporTT, is also organizing the seminar: “Cuba: New Business Opportunities,” which serves as a framework for the launch in Trinidad and Tobago of the new Cuban portfolio of foreign investment opportunities.

It includes a special presentation on the Cuban biotechnology sector, its main results and achievements.
