Havana, August 25 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has met with the visiting President of the Republic of Suriname, Desiré Delano Bouterse.
During the meeting, which took place Thursday afternoon, both leaders discussed current bilateral relations and talked about international issues of common interest.
Cuba and Suriname established diplomatic relations in May 1979 and have maintained ties of cooperation and solidarity over the years.
Accompanying the Cuban president at the meeting with his Surinamese counterpart was Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
